Vikki Weinberger

Vikki Weinberger has adored dancing since age 2, and focuses on tap, jazz, msuic theater dance, hip hop, and ballet, with a strong emphasis on rhythm tap. Vikki began teaching dance to children about 7 years ago in her hometown of Livingston, New Jersey. She received a scholarship in 1999 to study at Broadway Dance Center in New York City. Some mentors included tap prodigies Mike Minery, Jason Samuels, and Savion Glover. Now in DC, Vikki attends American University, and with graduate with B.A. in theater. There she has been vice president and choreographer for AUINMOTION, a talented organization that promotes diversity in dance arts at AU. Since 2000 she has been performing with Heidi Shultz's company Tappening, which has opend for the DC Metro Dance Awards,and has danced at Dance Place, JOMDC's Jack Guidone Theater, and the Department of Agriculture for "National Tap Dance Day" and "A Tribute to Gregory Hines". Since her arrival in 2000, Vikki has taught for many different DC area dance schools, and is delighted to be a new member of the DCDC family.
