Tap
Tap dancing is an art form based on the combination of movement and sound and is about taking what you learn, adapting it, and making it your own. Designed to give beginning dancers an introduction to the fundamentals of tap, this class will focus on helping students build a solid tap dance vocabulary. Through warm ups and choreography, dancers will develop classic rhythm tap technique while at the same time learning various combinations of rhythms and steps. Dancers will also be encouraged to explore their own style and creative energies through improvisation.
