Mary Gentry
Hip Hop
Mary Gentry has been a dancer for 19 years. She has spent her whole life dancing and traveling and is currently a Senior at George Mason University, Fairfax, Va. She has trained and danced for such choreographers as Brian Friedman, Rhapsody James, Marty Kudelka, Savion Glover, Dave Scott, Kevin Maher, Chris Judd and many more. She has a VIP scholarship for the 2nd year with Monsters of Hip Hop and has been nominated for their showcase. She traveled to South Korea in Sept. 2008 where she assisted and taught hip hop. She was a principal dancer on the new Hannah Montana movie and worked closely with Hairspray choreographer, Jamal Simms. She has performed in Brian Friedman's intensive for the last 5 years in New York City. She has performed on the Virginia, Good Morning show doing hip hop and tap. She taught hip hop at Dynamic Dance Intensive in Birmingham, Alabama and for Xtreme Dance Summer camp in Abingdon, Va. Mary won the Dance Fenom for Famecast and she won 2005 Female World Dance champion in LA. Mary choreographs hip hop, jazz and tap. When Mary is auditioning or on professional gigs her class will be taught by Neico Joy.
