Sara Hoke is the Artistic Director of D.C. based dance company pro ekoh dance. Hoke graduated from James Madison University in 2007 with a B.A. in Theatre and Dance. Through her undergrad studies she worked under professional artists Meisha Bosma, Donna Costello, Isabelle Gotzkowsky, Keith Thompson and Ed Tyler. Her work has been showcased in Artomatic, Joy of Motion's Dance Projects and JMU's Alumni Concert. In February 2009, she produced District Dance Share, a concert showcasing work by local artists, including pro ekoh dance. She is also a member of Shojorakudava a Butoh dance company under the direction of Julia Vessey.
