Dmitry Savchenko
Dmitry Savchenko is a concert pianist who has traveled the world and is a professional ballroom dancer. Born and raised in Moscow, Dmitry, who was trained in International Style Ballroom Dancing, came to the United States at the age of 18. While majoring in piano performance at Julliard School of music and dance, he was studying ballet and jazz at Albano Ballet Company in Hartford, Connecticut. Upon achieving degrees in Piano performance, computer science, and business, Dmitry continued pursuing his dancing career at the Steps in Time Studio, where he got his teaching training as well as professional American style training. While training with his partner Marsha, he enjoys teaching his students, and polishing his Professional competitive skills in order to achieve his goal of becoming a U.S. Champion. Dmitry infuses dance instruction with Russian discipline and precision bringing his students to a new level of dance in social as well as competitive styles. His extensive training in classical music allows him to provide a clear explanation of musicality and rhythms which help to make dancing artistic. Some of Dmitry's achievements include certification from the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing based in London, top Honors in Pro-Am Competitions, work experience with many Hollywood celebrities, and organizing independent music festivals in Europe.
Marsha Bonet-Savchenko
Marsha began her dance experience with ballet (Vagonova method) and then studied other dance forms which include: Tap, Jazz, Modern, African, Capoeira, Bharatanatyam, and finally Flamenco/Spanish dance. Her studies in different dance genres provide Marsha the tools to choreograph with a unique flare and with an artistic purpose. As a dancer and entertainer, Marsha concentrated heavily in the Flamenco/Spanish dance arena under the stage name "Rosa La Huracana." She performed for many types of venues and companies from flamenco tablaos to Epcot, Disney. Her experience and exposure as an entertainer opened up an opportunity to relocate from her home in Orlando, Florida to Alexandria, Va. After her relocation to Alexandria, Marsha began her studies in Ballroom and Latin dance. She formed a partnership with Mr. Dmitry Savchenko and together they work towards their goal to become 10-Dance Champions. Marsha's achievements, to mention a few, include certification from the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance based out of London, performances and interaction with many celebrated dancers and musicians, and a degree in Molecular & Microbiology. Marsha's other talents include musician as a flautist in which her musicality shows as an asset to performance and instruction. Marsha is an instructor who works with students from the novice to the professional level. She teaches her students about the quality of dance by working on technique, movement, and expression. Marsha teaches both children and adults and offers group sessions and private instruction.

Dmitry and Marsha Savchenko, owners of Danceflame, are two talented individuals who together have formed a strong and highly regarded partnership. Both are well educated overachievers who are determined to accomplish their goals towards the world championships. Dmitry & Marsha are independent instructors who are based out of the Alexandria, Virginia location. With the "power of partnership," Dmitry and Marsha have set high goals and standards for themselves and hope to inspire and wow their audiences with their love for dance and their connection with each other as a couple. This class will cover musicality, floorcraft, and partnering. These concepts are applicable to all levels from the social to the competitive.
Please note: There is no class on July 17th due to the instructors being away at competition
