Flor began dancing in the tablaos of Buenos Aires in 1995. In 2000, she formed her own group, which debuted in the show Rojo Flamenco. How do you dance in a tablao without rehearsal? How do you create a step or choreography? How do you find your own dance style? We will look for our own style and begin to improvise and to play with compás in order to create our own choreographies. To walk, project energy on stage, occupy space, get up from a chair, will also be areas of study. We will work with fragments of choreographies, using them as material to deepen all these themes. The type of flamenco that will be worked on in this class is andaluz (Sevilla, Jerez) and emphasis will be put on finding, through body exercises, the movements which give aire and pellizco to flamenco dance.
